Library Donations

The library accepts donations both in cash or kind from individuals, families and organizations. However the library reserves the right to decide how such donations are organized and used in the library.

For donations to be relevant and meaningful, potential donors can talk to the librarian to determine the need of the library.

Monetary Donations

Financial contributions that help us acquire new resources and improve library services

Material Donations

Books, journals, and other academic materials that enhance our collections

Donation Guidelines

All donations are reviewed for relevance to our academic programs
We prioritize current editions and materials in good condition
Consultation with librarians is encouraged before donation
Library determines final disposition of all donated materials

Collection Development

The RMU libraries exist to support the teaching, learning and research needs of the university. The library's collections therefore reflect the disciplines taught and researched into the university.

Materials are painstakingly selected in collaboration with faculty to ensure that, they are relevant, current and useful. In as much as we are determined to build a balanced collection, some subject areas are slightly ahead of others, purely on demand and supply bases.
